Hi, I’m Ashley. I’m a California girl now living in the Deep South with my husband, diva cat, and ever-hungry Labrador. I have two main passions—words and food—and I fill my days working with both.
I spent my childhood buried in books, nurtured a love of words and editing while at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill (B.A. in English Literature) and Carnegie Mellon (M.A. in English Literature and Cultural Studies), and cultivated a deep knowledge of food and recipe editing while working as Senior Recipe Editor and Travel & Food Copy Editor at Southern Living magazine.
I’m currently a food editor at eMeals, a freelance copy editor and recipe editor, and a writer of young adult fiction. Whether you’re stopping by to chat about books, debate the merits of the Oxford comma, or inquire about a freelance project, it’s nice to meet you. Please say hi.
